Provider Account ManagementWho needs to create a Provider Account?There are two types of "Provider" information stored in the database, "account owner" information and "Contact" information. The "account owner" is the person who enters the data. The "contact" is the point of contact for the technology. Account owners can assign any contact they want to a technology, via the data entry screen. Contacts have their own e-mail, phone, fax. All of the technologies owned by the account owner will have the same address information. If an account owner needs to enter technologies for more than one geographic location, they will need to create a separate user account. What do I do if I forget my user ID and/or password? E-mail us at neet@rti.org to request assistance. Please include in the e-mail your name, company name, and the e-mail address associated with your NEET account, if possible. How can I change the contact information for a technology? The contact information can be changed from the "General" tab page when adding or editing a technology. An existing contact's information can be edited here, a different existing contact can be associated with the technology, or an entirely new contact can be created to associate with the technology. How can I update the information for my user account? On the NEET home page click the "Provider Account" navigation button on the left side of the page. You will need to log in next. Once you have done so you can edit your account information. Entering/Editing Technology DataHow do I add a technology?1. Press the "Add/Edit Technology" button on the home page. Read the text on the Technology Provider Information page and click the "Proceed" button at the bottom of this page. 2. Create a user account for yourself by clicking on the "Click here to create a new user account" link near the top of the page. If you have already created a new user account, you can just enter your user ID and password here. 3. Fill in all of the required fields (Your Name, Company, contact information, etc.). You will also need to create a user ID and Password for yourself. When you have entered your user information press the "Proceed" button at the bottom of the page. 4.Now you can enter a name for your New Technology, and choose the class of technology that it fits (e.g. a Mobile Source Emission Control). If you have already entered a technology you will be given a chance here to choose it for editing or reviewing what you have already entered instead of adding a new technology. 5.Now you will be able to add or edit information for your technology in several categories using the tabs at the top of the page to navigate between categories. There is one data entry page per category. The number and type of categories will be technology class specific. 6.After entering information about your technology on the various technology data entry pages, submit the technology for inclusion into the NEET database by pressing the "Finalize Technology" button. If you are not ready to submit the technology for review by NEET staff, then click the "Technology Management" button instead to save the data entry that has occurred so far. You can return to edit this technology at another time, the data entry that you have performed so far has been saved. If you need more assistance please Contact Us. How do I edit a technology? On the Technology Management page, use the "Existing Technology" pull down menu to select a technology that you entered data for earlier. Next click the "Edit Technology" Button. What will technology users see when they view my technology profile? On the Technology Management page, use the "Existing Technology" pull down menu to select an existing technology for which you have entered data. Now click the "Review Technology" button to see your technology as it will appear to potential technology users. You can review your technology even if you are still editing it and it hasn't been finalized and submitted to the NEET database. How long will my technology stay in the database? We have specified no time limit for a technology listing remaining in the NEET Clean Air Technologies Database. However, for a technology listing to continue to be available in the NEET Clean Air Technologies Database, the technology provider must actively maintain the technology profile for the listing by updating the information in the profile, as appropriate, on a regular basis. If no changes are made in the 12-month period following the initial listing date or last modified date, the technology provider must reaffirm to RTI via e-mail that all information in the technology profile is still current. If the technology provider fails to do so, then the technology listing will be removed from the database. See the FAQs page topic "How often are the technology profiles updated?" for more information. Can I enter a technology for someone else? No. NEET will only accept a technology listing that is entered directly by the technology's owner, manufacturer, developer, or sponsor, as appropriate for the technology's development status. NEET will not accept a technology listing from a third-party. What if I do not have the information for a required field? If you do not have the information at this time needed to complete a required field, then enter "unknown" or "unavailable" in the data entry box and proceed to other Technology Data Entry pages to contunue adding information for your technology. All the information you enter will be saved in your user account (see answer to following question). When you obtain the information you need for the required field, return to the NEET website, log on to your user account, and update your technology listing by entering the information for the required field. Your technology listing will not be available in the public-access NEET Clean Air Technologies Database until information for all required fields has been entered for your technology. Do I need to enter all of the data for my technology at once? No. If you can only enter some of the information at this time but are not ready to finalize your technology profile for viewing by others, then click the "Technology Management" button at the bottom of any of the Technology Data Entry pages. This will save the information you have entered so far, and take you to the Technology Management page. You can then come back later and edit the technology to add the rest of the technology information. How do I save the technology data I've entered? The data for each technology data entry page is "saved" when navigating from the page using one of the buttons or links on the page. Please AVOID USING your Internet Browser's back or forward buttons to navigate the data entry pages. At this stage the technology information is only viewable by you. To submit the technology for inclusion into the NEET database (and be viewable by NEET technology users) you must choose the "Finalize Technologies" button at the bottom of any of the technology data entry pages. Finalizing the technology from any technology data entry page will submit the technology information from all of the data entry pages for this technology. The submitted technology information will be reviewed by NEET staff for inconsistencies. When approved the technology will be included into the NEET database and made available for viewing by technology users. What if the value I want to select is not in the list? Please use the "other information" box that is on the bottom of (almost) every page to enter your value information. Finding TechnologiesHow can I find a technology that meets my needs?You can search NEET by clicking on the Find Technology button. This will take you to the NEET Quick Search page which allows you to search NEET by pollutant, technology classification, and/or development status. Make your selections and click Search Database. You will get a list of technologies that meet your criteria in an alphabetized list. Click on the technology name to review the profile. Note that if you choose more than one pollutant, you will get all technologies that meet your search criteria that address one or more of those pollutants.

Please contact us here neet@rti.org and briefly explain the problem, and we will attempt to quickly fix the problem. Why can't I see any popup help windows? You may be using a "pop up blocker" tool that may be built into your internet browser or is a function of a browser add-on (such as the Google toolbar). You usually can disable this functionality for a particular web site or alternatively click the help icon to see the help in red text on the data entry page. Click any help icon to make the red help text disappear. |
